Microneedling Insurance

Microneedling insurance protects estheticians and businesses that offer skin treatments. While the microneedling procedure brings many aesthetic skin benefits, it also carries risks. Having liability insurance can safeguard you against them.

At Hands On Trade Association, we offer insurance coverage for microneedling and other esthetic services. We also offer liability insurance for beauty, cosmetology, and other professions. Learn more about what our microneedling insurance covers below.

Why Microneedling Insurance Is Essential for Your Business

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure. It uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, prompting natural healing and collagen production. Through a series of treatment sessions, this process can effectively improve skin concerns, including:

  • Acne scars
  • Stretch marks
  • Fine lines and wrinkles

Most individuals undergo microneedling for cosmetic enhancement, as it can rejuvenate skin texture and tone for a smoother, firmer appearance.

Microneedling liability insurance protects you against legal claims or malpractice lawsuits from people who experience such complications. As more people turn to microneedling to improve their appearance, estheticians must professionally protect themselves and their businesses.

Affordable Liability Insurance Coverage for Microneedling

At Hands On Trade Association, we offer professional liability insurance at a competitive rate:

  • Standard Liability Insurance: $185 yearly

Our affordable coverage options help estheticians like you have peace of mind without high costs. By being insured, you stabilize your business by avoiding out-of-pocket costs when a lawsuit is filed.

Professional Liability Insurance Exclusions

We do our best to make sure our clients are covered, but it's important to note what isn't covered by the liability insurance policy.

What Does Microneedling Insurance Cover?

When it comes to microneedling, coverage and regulations vary from state to state. Here’s what you need to know:

  1. Needle Depth Regulations
  2. The depth of the needle that can be used legally depends on the state regulations where your esthetician or cosmetology license was issued.
  3. License Requirements
    • To qualify for our microneedling coverage, you must hold an active Cosmetologist or Esthetician license.
    • Even in states that allow unlicensed individuals to perform microneedling, we cannot extend coverage to practitioners without proper licensure.

Types of Microneedling Procedures Covered

We cover various microneedling methods suited to specific skin types and needs. The following procedures are included in our plan:

  • Automated Microneedling
  • Dermapen
  • Dermaroller
  • Dermastamp
  • Manual Microneedling

Liability Insurance Exclusions

At Hands On Trade Association, we ensure our clients are professionally covered with the liability insurance they need. However, knowing what is excluded from our liability insurance coverage is vital.

We do not cover microneedling procedures incorporating plasma-rich platelets (PRP), also known as Vampire Microneedling.

See our Insurance Coverage Page for more details about our full policy exclusion.
